Support Public Safety in Woodside: Donate to Our Annual Campaign!

Dear Friends of the Fire District,

We invite you today to make a gift to the Woodside- Portola Valley Fire Protection Foundation annual campaign.  Your contribution strengthens your fire department’s ability to meet the needs of our community.  If you live in Woodside, Portola Valley, Emerald Hills, Ladera, Los Trancos, Skyline, or Vista Verde, Woodside Fire is your fire department.

As a small, agile organization, Woodside Fire strives to adopt new technologies and procedures at a rapid pace, raising its level of service to residents, local businesses, and visitors in our community.  Your contribution helps ensure that this continues.

If you’ve donated in the past, thank you.  We gratefully acknowledge our generous contributors on the enclosed donor roll.  Please make a difference and donate today via the enclosed envelope or through our website www.FireDistrictFoundation.org.

With sincere thanks,

Board of Directors

Your contribution directly helps supplement the fire district budget for:

The long-term strategic plan to rebuild aging fire stations.  As work to design a 21st Century headquarters fire station for the existing Woodside Road location continues, all district administrative personnel have moved to a temporary facility at 808 Portola Road. Your donation today will help fund the ongoing planning and design effort for state-of-the-art facilities that will meet the needs of our community in the decades ahead.

Fire prevention that targets our district’s specific needs. Your donation helps support the annual Chipper Program and related Firewise programs that target wildland fire prevention in addition to residential and commercial fire safety.

Fire and Life Safety Education and emergency response training by WFPD staff for all residents.  Your donation helps fund the purchase of up-to-date instructional materials and training equipment for CPR/ First Aid classes, school safety education programs, and the district’s citizens’ emergency response training (CERT) program, CERPP.

Take advantage of these terrific classes! See www.woodsidefire.org or contact Public Education Officer/CERPP Coordinator Selena Brown (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

The most advanced and efficient form of all-risk emergency response.  Your donation helps fund up-to-date equipment for more than 4,500 incidents a year, including medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, fires, hazardous conditions, severe weather, and others.
